Paintings inspired by Miro
Fifth and sixth grade artists looked at several examples of paintings by Spanish artist Joan Miro. We discussed his unique style and identified several repeated shapes and motifs. Students planned their pieces before they started to paint. Then they built their paintings layer by layer. Here are some of Miro's paintings that we looked at:
