Welcome Back Fayston Artists! I hope everyone enjoyed a beautiful Vermont summer! I had a very art-filled summer. Here are a few highlights:
This summer I took a watercolor course in Massachusetts from Paula Beaulieu. We painted en plein aire, which means outside, at a variety of locations north of Boston.
I had a great time at Clay Camp and Art Camp with Fayston and Waitsfield young artists. Clay camp highlights were making mugs and tiles. At art camp, some artists learned to knit and we even had a cake-bake off!
Lastly, I recently went to visit the Big Town Gallery in Rochester. This is an incredibly beautiful space to view artwork with broad appeal. I highly recommend stopping in if you are headed down Route 100 South.
Where did you see ART over the summer?
I am looking forward to an exciting and creative year in the Art Room! One of the things I am most excited about is using this blog to showcase student artwork and communicate with families and the community. Please check back frequently to see what we are up to in our art classes!
