Kindergarten Sunflowers inspired by Van Gogh

Kindergarten artists looked at Vincent Van Gogh's famous sunflower paintings, then made their own using liquid watercolor paints.

Andy Goldsworthy Inspired "Land Art"

Third and fourth graders examined the work of Scottish "land artist" Andy Goldsworthy.  Then we headed outside and gathered natural materials to create our own natural art. 

Beautiful Hands

Kindergarten artists read "Beautiful hands by Kathryn Otoshi and Bret Baumgarten.  They traced their hands and colored them with construction paper crayons, then painted with liquid watercolors in warm or cool colors.  They observed the watercolor resist technique.
